NS Power filed the 2020 Integrated Resource Planning Report with the Nova Scotia Energy Board on November 30, 2020. NS Power provided an IRP Action Plan update in January of 2022 and initiated the 2022 evergreen IRP process. The January 2022 IRP Action Plan Update with additions in April 2022 is here. The Update also includes information about the 2022 Evergreen Process to reflect significant policy and legislative changes since the 2020 IRP.
In its Order initiating the 2020 IRP process, the Nova Scotia Energy Board requested NS Power complete several Pre-IRP Deliverables prior to the initiation of the formal process. NS Power issued the Capacity Study, Renewables Integration Study, Supply Options Study, and Demand Response program details on July 31, 2019. In addition, the Company hosted four Engagement Sessions on the study work and met with numerous stakeholder groups in an effort to identify and discuss a variety of issues relevant to the planning process. Enclosed are reports, materials and the responses to questions from stakeholders related to the Pre-IRP process.
