Extreme Cold
Extreme cold means higher energy demand across the province. We're asking our customers to please help by conserving energy this weekend (Jan 24–26), especially during peak hours (7–11 AM and 5–9 PM). Read our blog to learn more.

Across Nova Scotia, we’re investing in initiatives that reflect the values, voices, and needs of the communities we serve. From grassroots projects to cherished celebrations to safety-focused infrastructure, our approach to community investment is built on three key pillars.
We support grassroots and community-led initiatives that matter most to Nova Scotians. From regional projects to local non-profits, we believe the best ideas often come from the ground up—and we’re here to help bring them to life.

Our employees take pride in being generous community leaders, and we are proud to support programs that empower them and amplify their efforts.
Since 1987, our employees have been steadfast in their support of the IWK Health Centre Foundation, having donated over $2.8 million. This employee-led program raises funds through payroll deductions, and participants have a chance to win big! Contributions go towards much needed equipment and programming for the IWK Health Centre and the almost 290,000 women and children who rely on them every year.
Employees who fundraise or volunteer for charitable organizations can apply to match up to $1,000 a year in support of their volunteer efforts. From community sports to volunteer fire departments, food banks and breakfast programs, our employees give their time and energy to worthy causes, and we're glad to support them.
