Update on Hurricane Dorian

As of this morning, Nova Scotia Power crews have restored service to approximately 85% of the more than 400,000 customers who lost power due to Hurricane Dorian.

Our teams continue to assess damage as we work in communities throughout the province. As a result, Nova Scotia Power is updating estimated times of restoration (ETRs) for customers.

As Hurricane Dorian creeps across Nova Scotia, it is causing significant impacts to the electrical system. Crews continue to stand down for safety, so outage causes have not been field-validated, however, photos and videos shot by customers show high winds felling trees and branches into lines.
