Students can apply now for Nova Scotia power’s 2022 scholarship and bursary program

HALIFAX, NS – Students in the province are encouraged to apply now for Nova Scotia Power’s 2022 Scholarship and Bursary Program.

Since the 1960’s, Nova Scotia Power has been pleased to offer scholarships annually to students seeking post-secondary education in a variety of programs across the province. The company’s 2022 Scholarship and Bursary Program is now accepting applications, with a deadline of April 20, 2022.

As part of the company’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy, Nova Scotia Power is focused on support for programs and initiatives that promote diversity, equity and inclusion, help remove barriers, and advance education and awareness in Nova Scotian communities.

“Our past recipients truly reflect the amount of talent, diversity and innovation that exists in the young leaders in the province,” says Charlene McQuaid, Vice President, Human Resources. “We’re so pleased to have the opportunity to help open doors for further learning and to increase diversity in the workforce as we work toward a cleaner energy future, together.”

There are a total of 28 Nova Scotia Power scholarships and bursaries available each year to qualifying students enrolled in trades and degree programs. The categories include: African Nova Scotian; Emerging Leaders; Mi’kmaq Bursary; Nova Scotia Power Family; and Women in Trades, Engineering and Technology.
