Storm Alert
We are working hard to safely restore power as quickly as possible after heavy snowfall brought trees and branches into power lines and caused outages across the province. For more information, please visit here >

Our team at NS Power continues to coordinate its response with the Department of Natural Resources & Renewables (DNRR) and Fire Command Centres to assess damage to electrical equipment from the wildfires in Tantallon and Shelburne County.
As evacuation orders are lifted, and as soon as it’s safe to do so, we will be working to reconnect power to those customers allowed to return home. Onsite teams are also working with the Province and local contractors to coordinate efforts and help ensure a streamlined process to restore service for affected customers.
“Our hearts go out to all Nova Scotians who have been affected by the wildfires,” says Matt Drover, Sr Director, Energy Delivery with NS Power. “We know residents will be anxious to return home. Please know we are in your community, working with our partners to ensure you are able to return safely.”
If you’re without power, make sure you follow these steps:
If your power is already reconnected when you return home, we recommend you still do an inspection of your electrical equipment.
