Powerline Technician

My name is Sophia Easson, and I'm proud to be a Red Seal Powerline Technician with five years of experience. I enjoy helping other women feel comfortable and confident in the trade. I work full time from Sackville, N.S. and have worked across the province for the past four years.

I enjoy baking, all recreational activities and spending time with family. It's always so much fun when I'm off work to share stories with my grandparents, who can't believe what I do for work.

Working together as a team and keeping power on during powerful storms is one of the most exciting parts of my job. I also enjoy hooking power to customers' new homes and looking after daily maintenance. Working as a Powerline Technician benefits all Nova Scotians, because we all rely on electricity on a daily basis. It's very rewarding to keep things running smoothly. And at Nova Scotia Power, we pride ourselves on safety and we do the very best we can for our customers.
