Charlene McQuaid was appointed Vice President, Human Resources in November 2020.

 

Charlene started her career with Emera over 10 years ago as Senior Organizational Development Specialist at NS Power. Prior to her current role, Charlene most recently served as the Vice President, Human Resources & Organizational Development at Emera Inc. She has also held executive leadership roles at Emera Maine and TECO. 

 

With her extensive experience in organizational development, change management, leadership development and employee relations, Charlene brings a strong understanding of safety, operations and strategy to our team.  

 

In her role, Charlene is instrumental in leading our future talent strategy and continuing to build upon the employee experience – ensuring we provide our people with opportunities for growth, development and mentorship. She also leads our focus around diversity and inclusion and supports the important work of our D&I Network. 

 

Charlene is a native Maritimer, with a Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University and a Master of Applied Science from McGill. She holds a Certificate of Organizational Development from Queen’s University.
