Ken Meade

Vice President, Health, Safety, Environment & Mi'kmaq Relations

Ken Meade is the Vice President, Health, Safety, and Environment & Mi’kmaq Relations at Nova Scotia Power. Ken has been within the Emera and NSP companies for nearly three decades. He spent the first 16 years in various roles involving hydro operations and relicensing, permitting for thermal generation, and transmission/distribution projects, as well as new renewable projects involving wind and tidal energy.

Ken then moved into a role with Emera Newfoundland & Labrador on the Maritime Link project with different accountabilities, including the project environmental assessment and permitting, rights holder and stakeholder engagement and agreements, and risk and project management. Most recently Ken was the Vice President, Safety and Environment at Emera before moving into his current role at NS Power.

Ken is a member of the Qalipu Mi'kmaq First Nation in his home province of Newfoundland & Labrador.
