Nova Scotia Power issues recall of LED reflector lights

HALIFAX, NS – Nova Scotia Power has issued a recall of LED reflector lights that were handed out at The Chronicle Herald Parade of Lights last Saturday evening.

This Saturday, November 28, 2015, Nova Scotia Power, in partnership with Child Safety Link will have a booth at Mic Mac Mall in Dartmouth, The Halifax Shopping Centre and NSP head office, 1223 Lower Water Street, Halifax, where customers can return their reflectors and receive a $10 gift card from Sobeys. The booths will be open from 9 am to 6 pm.

Nova Scotia Power apologizes to our customers for distributing this product. Nova Scotia Power is committed to the safety of all of our customers and our priority is the collection of these lights.

We have filed an incident report with Health Canada’s Consumer Products Safety Directorate and provided it with information concerning the safety of these lights, which were distributed by a Canadian company.

Nova Scotia Power will ensure the reflectors are destroyed once we have safely removed the batteries.
