The calculator uses a residential rate of 13.790 cents/kilowatt hour. Applicable taxes have been pre-calculated and will automatically populate on the bottom portion of the calculator (HST is 15%). The provincial portion of the HST has been removed. These calculations do not include monthly charges.

Note: The calculator does not calculate electric heating costs as they can vary significantly by household. The costs provided for each item are based on averages, therefore your actual costs may vary.
