Outage Information



Access outage information on your cell phone

Nova Scotia Power customers are now able to access information on power outages, payment agents, billing options and more through a web site designed specifically for cell phones and mobile devices.

Instructions to access outage information

To access mobile outage information, ensure that your mobile browser supports WAP/HTML and is enabled. Point your mobile browser to www.nspower.ca/m and click on "Live Outage Information". If there are no outages, you’ll see a message indicating this. 

If there are outages, the site will show:

  • First page - A list of regions with outages (number of customers affected will appear in parentheses beside the region name).
  • Second page - List of communities affected.
  • Third page - List of areas affected with the community.
  • Fourth page - Outage information page for that area.

Each outage information page will include:

  • Description of the affected area
  • Time of occurrence
  • Number of customers without power
  • Estimated Restoration Time
  • Cause (if known)
