We carefully track and disclose emissions from our operations and use ambient air monitoring stations to keep track of how those emissions affect the quality of the air we breathe. All our operations must meet or exceed government regulations.
Over the past decade, we have more than tripled renewable energy from 9% to 30%, and we will hit 40% in 2020. We’ve already achieved and exceeded Canada’s 2030 target of reducing carbon dioxide by 30% from 2005 levels, and by 2030, we expect to have achieved more than 60% reduction from 2005 levels, which is almost double the national target.
