Nova Scotia Power storm restoration update – 4:30 p.m.

HALIFAX – As of 4:30 p.m. today (SATURDAY), Nova Scotia Power has safely restored power to all but 506 customers who lost service due to a severe storm that brought strong winds across the province on Thursday and Friday. Please note there are an additional 300 customers without power from outages that have occurred subsequent to 6 a.m. today (SATURDAY).

Nova Scotia Power expects to complete restoration of outages that occurred Thursday and Friday by the end of today (SATURDAY). All storm-related outages on mainland Nova Scotia are expected to be restored by 6 p.m. On Cape Breton Island, where customers experienced the last impacts of the storm, the last outages are expected to be restored by 11:30 p.m.

Nova Scotia Power thanks customers for their patience, and is immensely grateful for the 500 power line technicians who have traveled from as far away as Ontario and Quebec to help restore power to its customers after this week’s powerful storm.
