Get up to speed on electric vehicles in Halifax this weekend

HALIFAX – Nova Scotia Power invites you to join them this Saturday at their Electric Avenue event to learn more about the benefits of electric vehicles and how they are transforming the transportation industry.

This unique event is being offered free of charge and will give the public the opportunity check out the EVs on display and even take one for a test drive.

  • What: Electric Avenue, Nova Scotia’s Electric Vehicle Showcase presented by Nova Scotia Power
  • When: Saturday, September 16, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Where: Parking lot across from Nova Scotia Power’s head office, 1223 Lower Water Street, Halifax

O’Regan’s Nissan, Metro Mitsubishi, and Steele Ford will all be providing EVs for attendees to test drive. EV models will also be on display from Volvo of Halifax, Porsche of Halifax, as well as multiple EV owners.

Media and members of the public wishing to test drive electric vehicles can register and participate with a valid driver’s license.

This year’s family-friendly event will also feature segway and electric bike demonstrations and test drives, on-site radio broadcasts from Live 105, a Discovery Centre electricity demo, and a Dalhousie and NSCC battery technology showcase.
