We’ve been Nova Scotia's main electricity provider for more than 80 years and now provide more than 95% of the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity to 483,000 customers in Nova Scotia. Our customers have always looked to us to provide electricity that’s safe and reliable. But you’ve told us you want more than that. We’re listening.

We’re focused on new technologies that will enhance customer service and reliability. We’re giving more options to our customers with services like e-bill, energy efficiency programs and a net metering service that allows customers to generate their own electricity. We’re investing in our infrastructure to make it stronger.

We’re also working to reduce our environmental footprint. We’ve added technologies to our thermal generating plants that reduce emissions and help protect our environment. Plus, we’re adding more options to generate clean and renewable energy. More than 10 per cent of the electricity Nova Scotians use every day comes from renewable sources. Our goal? Double that amount by 2013.
