This plan provides your rental property with year-round, continuous service. You don’t have to contact us each time a tenant moves in or out. Once your property has been set up under the plan, you won’t be charged service connection fees or be responsible for a tenant’s outstanding balance.
- When a tenant tells us they want to discontinue their electric service, we’ll take a meter reading and close their account. The power will remain on and will automatically transfer to your name without the service connection fee.
- The electric service will be billed on your automatic landlord account until a new tenant calls us and qualifies for service. It’s up to you to ensure the new tenant has transferred service into their name. You will be billed for all power use until that time.
- Once we have connected service in the new tenant’s name, a meter reading will be taken and your account will close until your tenant moves and closes their account.
- You can withdraw from the plan at any time. To do so, simply provide us with your request in writing, allowing 10 business days for processing.
We follow a strict privacy policy in accordance with the Privacy Act. Because of these regulations, we can’t notify you if your tenant is disconnected for non-payment. We also can’t automatically transfer the meter into your name.
