Schedule of Fees for Inspection of Electrical Installations
Nova Scotia Power would like to notify the electrical construction industry of the recent change to the Schedule of Fees for Inspection of Electrical Installations.
The change is the result of a general rate application that was approved by the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board on December 21, 2012. Reflecting an increase in the costs associated with this process, many permit categories will increase by an average of 6.5 per cent.

Electrical contractors and communication cabling specialists can apply for wiring permits by completing the Application For Wiring Permit and Inspection (PDF) and submitting it to the Provincial Wiring Permit Process Centre. Contractors can also call 1-800-464-1520 to obtain wiring permits over the phone.
It’s also possible to be set up on the NS Power billing system as a convenient way to pay for wiring permits. Complete the Monthly Billing Plan form (PDF) and return it to the Provincial Wiring Permit Process Centre.
