The power of the wind

Did you know wind power is the world’s fastest growing electric power source? It is clean, emission-free and becoming increasingly economical. From Yarmouth County through to Cape Breton, wind farms are popping up all across our windy province. The 17 wind farms across Nova Scotia generate 118 megawatts of renewable energy - and that number is quickly growing. Check out our wind power map and learn more.
