Nova Scotia Power has restored power to more than 168,000 customers after a powerful wind and rainstorm hit the province Monday and Tuesday.
There are currently fewer than 10,000 customers remaining without power. More than 55 line crews and approximately 15 tree trimming crews are working on key infrastructure in Sydney, where much of the storm damage and flooding occurred.
We are confident we will have many customers back on by this evening and the majority of customers back on by 11 a.m. tomorrow.
Some individual and small pockets of outages in the province may take until Friday to be restored. In some cases, customers may also need to undertake repairs to their properties before crews can gain access and restore power.
We’ve had 122 NSP and contractor crews and 27 tree cutting crews working throughout the day. Crews will continue to work throughout the night to continue restoring power for customers.
