Nova Scotia Power (NSPI) announced today that Lee Bragg, currently Chief Executive Officer for Eastlink, and Elaine Sibson, tax professional and former partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PWC) will be joining the Board of Directors.
“Lee and Elaine bring a wealth of experience and history of innovative leadership that will complement our current Board of Directors,” said George Caines, Chair of the NSPI Board. “Lee has played a key role in Eastlink’s growth and success while Elaine’s expertise in tax and regulatory affairs, as well as various Board positions, will be important assets at this critical time of growth and innovation at Nova Scotia Power.”
Elaine Sibson, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, has been a practicing accountant providing tax and advisory services since 1974 as a partner with Coopers & Lybrand in 1987 and as it transitioned to PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, electing to retire in 2006. After a short period in the PWC Barbados office, she returned to Canada and completed the Institute of Corporate Directors program. Elaine is currently working with Dalhousie University to help them establish a Centre for Family Business, is on the executive of the Atlantic Chapter of the Institute of Corporate Directors, and was recently named Chair of the Nova Scotia Workers’ Compensation Board.
Lee Bragg is Chief Executive Officer of Eastlink and its associated communications companies. He has held his current position since 1999. Eastlink is now the fifth largest cable company in Canada and is the only privately held company operating in all 10 Canadian provinces. Prior to entering the cable business, Bragg held various management positions with the Bragg Group of Companies.
