Our operations touch many parts of the land and watersheds of Nova Scotia. Because of this, although they are very rare and hard to find, there are areas where species of conservation concern occur. We look for opportunities through the course of our operations to protect these species and their habitat. We work in partnership with the Province of Nova Scotia and the Museum of Natural History, Parks Canada and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, as well as others in communities across the province. For endangered species, we participate on a number of recovery teams to work toward the protection and recovery of these species.
