Nova Scotia Power and staff of the Utility and Review Board (UARB) have worked together on an integrated resource plan. This plan looks at long-term supply and demand for electricity and analyzes the most economic and reliable way to meet demand given changing and uncertain environmental requirements.
The last IRP completed in 2007 indicated that energy conservation is an important element to meet the future electricity needs of Nova Scotia.
NS Power began implementing Energy Efficiency & Conservation programs (EEC) for customers in 2008.
