The Nova Scotia Power Scholarship for Employees’ Children offers four renewable $1500 awards to children/dependents of regular employees or retirees of Nova Scotia Power.
These renewable awards are available to students entering full time studies at a recognized trade, business or technical school, community college, or university. Applicants must be graduating or have graduated from a Nova Scotia high school and entering their first year of post-secondary education within 15 months of their high school graduation.
Applicant must be the child of a regular employee or retiree.
Recipients are selected on the basis of a solid academic record (minimum 80% average), leadership, service to the community, involvement in extra-curricular activities, and the written essay portion of the application form.
A selection committee, made up of Nova Scotia Employees, will review the applications and make their decisions on the following basis: a solid academic record (minimum 80%), leadership and service to the community, involvement in extra-curricular activities and the written essay portion of the application form.

Complete and submit an application form (DOC). Applications must be reviewed and signed by a guidance counselor before submission.
