Centennial Scholarship

This scholarship is open to engineering students at Dalhousie University. Five $2,000 scholarships are available to students in any engineering discipline. Recipients are also eligible to participate in two work terms with Nova Scotia Power. The scholarships are renewable for two years. Recipients are chosen by a selection committee made up of Nova Scotia Power employees.

Award Criteria Recipients are selected based on academic achievement, personal attributes, community involvement and involvement in extracurricular activities.

Eligibility and Exceptions

  • Recipients must be eligible to receive their Engineering Diploma in May and continue their full-time studies at Dalhousie in September. 
  • Scholarships will not be awarded for pursuit of graduate studies or made in combination with any other Nova Scotia Power scholarships. 
  • Recipients must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants and permanent residents of Nova Scotia for at least three years, two of which are immediately prior to their scholarship application. 
  • Scholarships and bursaries are non-transferable.

How to applyApplications can be requested from the Faculty of Engineering or Applied Science at your university. Applications must be returned directly to your Faculty of Engineering for submission to Nova Scotia Power.
