Onslow to Springhill Transmission Line

Creating a cleaner, more reliable electricity future
We’re installing a new transmission line between Onslow and Springhill.

This work will improve reliability, reinforce our transmission connections with New Brunswick and support the addition of more clean, renewable energy via the Maritime Link.

This project represents a multi-million dollar investment in Colchester and Cumberland counties as we work toward a more sustainable energy future for Nova Scotia.

Work to clear the right-of-way along the 65 kilometre stretch is complete. Pole setting and line installation are scheduled until May 2018.

Safety is always our first priority on all of our projects. Customers are reminded to safely navigate around crews while work is underway and to maintain a safe distance from power lines.

Thank you for your understanding as we carry out this important work to improve the reliability of service to our customers and to ensure we are on track to meet our provincial requirement that 40% of electricity comes from renewable sources in 2020.
