Nova Scotia Power has worked closely with its regulator, the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board, and a collaborative body of stakeholders known as the Program Development Working Group (PDWG) to foster and establish energy conservation and efficiency programs for electric customers in Nova Scotia.
Consultation on energy conservation and efficiency has taken place over several years and has resulted in a number of regulatory filings, regulatory approvals and subsequent program implementation and delivery.
Nova Scotia Power and its stakeholders anticipate that electricity conservation programs will be delivered by an independent administrator, appointed by the provincial government. In the interim Nova Scotia Power will continue to meet the requirements of the regulatory process and ensure ongoing program delivery for customers.
