Nova Scotia Power is a public utility and regulated under the Public Utilities Act and the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board (UARB). The UARB has supervisory powers over NSP's operations and expenditures. It also approves electricity rates.
On occasion, Nova Scotia Power will meet with the UARB to discuss expenditures, budgets, new programs and rates. This process allows Nova Scotia Power the opportunity to converse with our regulator and other stakeholders about the needs of our customers.
