Mark is responsible for the safe and effective delivery of engineering, environmental, planning and project implementation of Nova Scotia Power’s capital projects. He also provides leadership and support for the retention and recruitment of engineering and technical people for the company.
Mark returns to Nova Scotia Power from his role as Vice President, Engineering and Construction for our parent company, Emera Inc. He was most recently responsible for safety, environmental, project and construction management for Brunswick Pipeline’s 145-kilometre natural gas pipeline. Mark was previously Emera’s Director of Asset Management.
Mark began his career with Nova Scotia Power in 1982 as a Staff Engineer at the Lingan Generating Station. Before moving to Emera in 2006, he was Nova Scotia Power’s Director of Control Centre Operations at Ragged Lake, with previous roles as Senior Manager of Generation Services, Engineering & Maintenance Manager at the Lingan and Point Aconi Generating Stations and Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer.
Mark is a graduate of Saint Mary's University and has an engineering degree from the DalTech School of Engineering in Halifax. He is a Registered Professional Engineer. Mark serves on the board of the Provincial 911 Cost Recovery Board and various public school advisory committees.
